We have recieved news from Dunkirk that our supplies of emergency blankets and whistle kettles have arrived to help keep residents warm. These will be distributed accordingly over the next couple of days by our friends on the ground. Additionally the French authorities have FINALLY approved a new refugee camp to be built to replace the current Grande-Synthe camp - we will be posting more information on this shortly. The Calais camp received heartbreaking news yesterday; the camp residents have been given 3 days to evacuate the camp as the mayor has decided to bulldoze almost 1/3 of the camp. This is a significantly larger area than was originally mentioned. The residents have chosen to peacefully protest by silently remaining in their current homes. Our thoughts and prayers are with our brothers and sisters in Calais.
